Day trips to the country can be a great romantic way to spend some quality time with your loved one on Easter. It's something about the meadows of green grass and the wind in the hair that can makes the trip part of the journey all the more Irish. Ideas of taking the slow road or even a train ... you are not in a hurry and it's all about the journey.

So picking somewhere to go that is going to slow you both down. You don't need the freeway and you want to get away from traffic. So even try the old roads and pick a region that is going to be green and has views of mountains, rivers or the sea and has lovely, lovely trees and parks where you can stop and spread out that fabulous hamper picnic that you have packed.
